Private Pilot License Program (PPL)
The PPL program is conducted with single-engine airplanes and is the basic course
to become a pilot. Student Pilots are able to take-off and land the aircraft and
fly the aircraft cross- country. During the program the Student will accumulate
around 40 flight hours. If the successful graduate desires to become a professional
pilot he or she can then enroll in the Advanced Commercial Pilot Program and complete
a Commercial Pilot License endorsed with an Instrument Rating in both single-engine
and multi-engine aircraft. The Young Eagle course is international standard using
English Language throughout both theoretical and practical studies. The program
is approved by Thai Department of Civil Aviation (Thai DCA).
Training Period
- 2-3 months for working day (Full Time)
- 4-6 months for weekend (Part Time)

- 0 Hours Dual Flying Training
- 10 Hours Solo Flying Training
- 5 Hours Simulator
Training Scenario
To join and graduate in the PPL program the applicant must successfully complete:
- Aviation medical examination, Class 2 minimum
- Thai police security check The student will now be eligible for the issue of a Student
Pilot License (SPL) from The Thai Department Civil of Aviation (DCA)
- Private Pilot License ground study - 90 classroom hours comprising:
- Principles of Flight
- The Flight Environment
- Aircraft Systems and Performance
- Meteorology for Pilots
- Basic Navigation
- Radio Navigation Systems
- Human Factors
- Aeronautical Decision Making
- Rules of the Air and Air Traffic Service
- Flying Safety
- Technical Type Knowledge
- Radio Telephony and Signals
- Flight Simulator Training (5 hours)
- The first flight training block comprises flying the training aircraft with an Instructor
Pilot for 10-12 hours to achieve "First Solo" an experience you will remember
all of your life! You will then receive a First Solo Certificate and complete five
hours of solo flying in the circuit area for a total flight time of around 20 hours
- The second flight training block comprises flying the training aircraft with an
Instructor Pilot on cross country training for about 20 hours.
- On successful completion of the ground and flight training Young Eagle will sent
the student to Thai DCA to undertake the PPL ground examination and PPL Flight Check,
When student passes the ground and flight tests with Thai DCA they will receive
a Private Pilot License.
